Another Success Story from the Atlanta Area

With education growing in importance throughout the years, a college degree has never meant more than what it does today.  However, it isn't that you get the degree, but where you get it from.

Above: Another successful product of the Georgia Education System proudly displaying their alumni license plate on their late 80's Honda.

All I have to say is, if you can read this, I am thankful I no longer attend the University of West Georgia.

Stomping Grounds

If dogs are as territorial as we say they are, why do they crap in the neighbor's yard, and not their own?

Picking a Gas Station

With gas prices reaching a new high almost every day, one might be picky about which gas station in which they choose. However, all the gas stations that I pass on my way home from work have, one way or another, ticked me off- and not because of price.

The four gas stations that I pass on my way home from work are:

1. Chevron on Douglas Blvd/ HWY 5

2. Circle K HWY 5

3. Shell HWY 5/ King's HWY

4. Marathon King's HWY

My irritations:

Chevron requires that I put in my zip code in order to process my debit or credit card. Yes, it does make sense to do it for identification protection purposes, but it is also used as a marketing tool. I don't mind participating in the advancement of a business because of marketing, but on a volunteer basis. Thus, I volunteer to take my business to somewhere the doesn't force me to enter my zip code.

Circle K often has problems processing my debit or credit transaction. I would prefer not to wait to be ripped off on high gas prices. The faster the better.

Shell... where do I start? They have the SLOWEST pumps ever. This, in addition to the same marketing scheme as Chevron makes this station a loser. Plus, every time I buy Yoohoo drinks here, the lids are always pre-popped. I prefer to hear the thunk noise synonymous with the opening of a fresh bottled beverage.

Last, the gas station that I settle with every time as my best option, but still much hated- Marathon. I cringe every time I purchase my gas here. I have three reasons to hate this place.

First, the morning station attendant is psycho. Every time I am driving, and she sees me, she bright lights me or honks at me. She has followed me home 3 times because random traffic occurances in which I have been involved with her. I hate to support her paycheck. Secondly, the gas pump screen does not work. I can never see how much I spend until after the receipt has printed out, or how many gallons I have put in my vehicle. Lucky me, I fill up the tank all the way every time. Lastly, the lids to the storage containers under ground stick up way too high in the parking lot, creating a speedbump like affect while driving over them.

Overall, I choose Marathon because the pumps are fast, and there is nothing stopping me from putting my debit card in and getting my gas.

Remember to choose your gas station wisely!

Too Cool

Things that make a cool driver:

1. Drives a Jeep.

2. Drives a convertible Jeep.

3. Drives a convertible Jeep with loud music.

4. Drives a convertible Jeep with loud music while smoking, drinking a bottled beverage, changing your CD, and tapping the breaks while doing it all.

Things that make a cool person:

1. Said person shops at Lee's Discount.

Looks like we have a 2 for 1 Special of cool driver people in Douglasville.
Might I tell you also that I think Jeep Wranglers are the biggest waste of money ever! Half aluminum, half leather, half a V8, and half the average income of a Douglasville resident.

Walmart Customer Service

Reasons I Love Walmart:

1.

Reasons I do not Love Walmart:

1. LINES! LIKE CRAZY!

2. Pregnant women with attitudes.

3. Lines!

4. Foreign People with attitudes.

5. White trash people with attitudes.

6. Ghetto people with attitudes.

Anyways, I was at the end of this line... Just to return a racket ball set I got for the gym, and never used. Next time I will go to Kmart, where no one shops, so there shouldnt be a line this long at Customer Service.

Cheap Americans

It absolutely boggles my mind to think that there are people out there who have the internet, but do no have some sort of cable source at their home. Maybe the Best Buy nerd in me is coming out when I realize that 91 non-cable subscribers have the INTERNET to review a product that basically admits they still use rabbit ears to recieve television broadcast! They must be using dial up, because that's their way of sticking it to the system.

Whatever. I must say that I am satisfied with my AT&T DSL and my Direct TV cable service.

Great Way to Start the Morning

What a great way to start the morning. Everyone has once received an email stating that a particular email is "undeliverable"... Not a big deal. However, this particular email rejection notification could be taken quite personally for someone whose life really sucks.
